Welcome to the Rimbey Gymnastics Club!

 

My name is Alena Rode, and have returned to my position as Head Coach after taking a couple of years off.

I have been coaching gymnastics for over 18 years with the Rimbey Gymnastics Club, and 2 years with Exelta Gymnastics in Red Deer while I was attending college.

I have two sons, with my youngest following in my footsteps of becoming an accomplished gymnast.

I am passionate about this sport, it has been an integral part of my life from a very young age.

I was trained as a competitive gymnast, but after becoming ill with meningitis at age 15, I could no longer compete and focused solely on coaching from that point on.

I had a very special coach and mentor at that time in Cheryl Langmuir. I credit my success in this sport as an athlete, and later as a coach, wholly to her and the foundation she laid for our club.

As a foundational sport, it is so important to me that all of our kids have a successful and inspiring experience with our gymnastics club.

We are all very much looking forward to seeing new faces and reconnecting with our returning athletes!
